Corn salad: how to cook and ingredients

Typical of Cajun cuisine, custard make salad contains corn as the protagonist. Bruno Salomao, host of “Vai Ter Churras”, is a fan of this order and teaches a version in which pre-cooked vegetables are grilled until browned.

The chef uses celery, onion and pepper to give the dish its characteristic flavor. These three ingredients are considered the “Holy Trinity” of Louisiana cuisine in the United States, which has French and African influences.

In maque choux, all vegetables are wrapped in a delicious sauce of mayonnaise, lemon, apple cider vinegar, chili sauce, mustard, garlic, paprika and sugar.
